The never-before-seen music documentary capturing Queen of Soul ARETHA FRANKLIN, as she records the most successful gospel album of all time, AMAZING GRACE with James Cleveland and the Southern California Community Choir. Recorded at The New Bethel Baptist Church in Watts, Los Angeles in January 1972. This is one of our absolute top picks from this year's South by Southwest Festival! We're so excited to finally getting a chance to share it with you!

"It is a transcendent film. It’s also a surprisingly simple one, perhaps keeping with the unfussy circumstances." - Vulture

Synopsis: AMAZING GRACE is crafted from never-before-seen footage that captures an elegiac moment in American musical history whilst saluting the get-up-on-your-feet gospel heritage that transformed American music in the 1960s.

The third film from the Academy Award and BAFTA-winning team behind Senna and Amy and producer Paul Martin, Diego Maradona is constructed from over 500 hours of never-before-seen footage from Maradona’s personal archive with the full support of the man himself.

"The public and private faces of the Argentinian striker are sharply contrasted in a revealing documentary from the director of Senna" ★★★★ The Guardian

Synopsis: On 5th July 1984, Diego Maradona arrived in Naples for a world-record fee. For seven years all hell broke loose. The world’s most celebrated football icon and the most passionate but dangerous city in Europe were a perfect match for each other. On the pitch, Diego Maradona was a genius. Off the pitch, he was treated like a God. The charismatic Argentine loved a fight against the odds and led Napoli to their first-ever title. It was the stuff of dreams. But there was a price… Diego could do as he pleased while performing miracles on the pitch but, as time passed, darker days closed in.

Dani and Christian are a young American couple with a relationship on the brink of falling apart. But after a family tragedy keeps them together, a grieving Dani invites herself to join Christian and his friends on a trip to a once-in-a-lifetime midsummer festival in a remote Swedish village. What begins as a carefree summer holiday in a land of eternal sunlight takes a sinister turn when the insular villagers invite their guests to partake in festivities that render the pastoral paradise increasingly unnerving and viscerally disturbing. From the visionary mind of Ari Aster comes a dread-soaked cinematic fairytale where a world of darkness unfolds in broad daylight.

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time.. in Hollywood visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore. The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age.

"It’s shocking, gripping, dazzlingly shot in the celluloid-primary colours of sky blue and sunset gold: colours with the warmth that Mama Cass sang about. The Los Angeles of 1969 is recovered with all Tarantino’s habitual intensity and delirious, hysterical connoisseurship of pop culture detail.... It’s entirely outrageous, disorientating, irresponsible, and also brilliant."
